Plaid Named Help Heal Veterans Partner of the Year

At Creativation 2018 Plaid was presented with the Help Heal Veterans 2017 Partner of the Year. Help Heal Veterans is a non-profit dedicated to serving military veterans by supplying injured servicemen and women with therapeutic craft kits. Help Heal Veterans was founded during the Vietnam War and has distributed more than 29 million kits since 1971 from hundreds of craft categories.The kits often become a part of the patient’s treatment plan, providing a creative outlet for stress and boredom. Crafting is a way to rebuild the veteran's confidence and self-esteem.

Plaid President and CEO, Mike McCooey said, “We strongly believe in the work that Heal Vets is doing and are proud to support them in any way we can. Through our many years in the craft industry, we have seen first-hand how transformative the act of creating can be in people’s lives.
