Creativation 2020 Recap

Plaid made a major impression on the crafting industry in a big way this year at Creativation! This three-day show was packed with discussions, classes, networking and more. Each year Creativation is the springboard for our new product lines and programs. This year we were so excited to launch several new and innovative lines that we are sure you are going to love. 

We know that not everyone can attend this extraordinary show, so today we want to give you the download on what we featured at the show, our thoughts, share photos, and even give you a booth tour. Each year we focus on a certain theme for our booth and this year our theme was Reclaim, Recreate, Relove. We love using what is old to create something new and this theme was carried throughout our booth as you will see.

You can also expect several line expansions for some of our most popular products like FolkArt, Mod Podge, Bucilla, Delta and more.

This year at Creativation we debuted our new line of Plaid FX Cosplay paints and tools, set to launch in March. This is a high-performance paint specially formulated for cosplay and costuming. You can use this paint on EVA foam, thermoplastic, 3D prints and more. Each color is highly pigmented and has a full-body consistency. When dry, this paint will not crack or peel and is flexible, durable, and non-tacky. This innovative paint comes in a variety of finishes such as satin, neon, metallic, glitter, and more! Plaid FX also offers an assortment of stencils and brushes to make creating your cosplay builds a breeze.

To kick off this new line, our team did a fun Make-it and Take-it that allowed you to create your own version of a Valkyrie Helm using the Plaid FX paints. 


We also debuted our new FolkArt line called Pure Pigments. Pure Pigments are specially formulated with the purest pigments for unmatched consistency and color. This formula is concentrated for a highly pigmented, blendable paint. Each color is vibrant and rich with a thick, heavy body and creamy consistency. With this formula, you can enjoy an extended open time for better workability.



At the show, we also made a big announcement. The NEW Donna Dewberry FolkArt One Stroke Wreath of the Month program is now available! Watch the big announcement below to learn about the new kit and program. 
 



One of the most popular features of this show were the classes taught by Donna Dewberry and Chris Williams.
 

Our very own Chris Williams also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from AFCI at Creativation for her painting contributions to our community over the years. Congrats Chris! We are so proud of you!
 

 

We were very excited to meet-up with influencers and ambassadors that were in town for the show. We also hosted a blogger breakfast where we got to network with bloggers from around the world as well as introduced new products to the group. 
 



And of course, we had some fun too!
