When I stamp using the masking technique, I get a small but noticeable line around my masked image. Why?
A “halo” around a masked image happens when the masked image and the background image don’t exactly meet. To avoid this, when cutting out your mask on the sticky note, cut slightly to the inside of the image. When the sticky note is placed on your project and you stamp the background, the edges of the two images – foreground and background - will touch, eliminating the “halo”.
Some images are more suitable to the masking technique than others. Look for medium- to larger- sized images with a limited amount of detail around the outer edge, which will make cutting out the mask easier. You don't have to be exact in cutting out your masks, but be sure to cut slightly to the inside of the image for perfect masking.
