Q: When I color directly onto a rubber stamp, the marker ink beads up - why?
This is caused by a film residue left on the stamp from the manufacturing process, and is especially noticeable on stamps with a large surface area. The residue causes ink to bead up and will give a blotchy impression when stamped. To correct this, simply run an emery board or a piece of fine-grade sandpaper over the surface of the stamp to remove the residue. Wipe the stamp surface, then color with your markers – you’ll notice a big improvement!
