What other helpful hints are there when decoupaging on glassware?
When decoupaging glass or ceramic drink ware, be sure to tape or mask a lip line approximately 0.8” or 2cm from the top of the drinking vessel.
When decoupaging on a glass or ceramic plate that will come in contact with food, be sure not to apply the finish on the food area of the plate; add a design on the rim only or decoupage in reverse on the backside of the plate. It is best to use the round ¾in brush from the Martha Stewart Crafts Decoupage Brush set when decoupaging on glassware. This style brush used in one direction will smooth the finish application and reduce streaky brushmarks.
