Donna Dewberry is a self taught artist who grew up with a mother that encouraged her crafting. In fact Donna and her Mother used to sell various good on the side of the road. The One Stroke Painting method was developed when Donna had to fill an order for several thousand pieces of painted tin ware.

To date there are more than 6000 Certified One Stroke Instructors world wide and in more than 15 countries. Several of which have started businesses of their own revolving around One Stroke painting. Donna has made more than 100 books and videos and has her own show on PBS and soon to be WHDO as well as appearing regularly on Home Shopping Network.

Instructions


Snowman Head:
  1. Load the 1/4" Scruffy with Wicker White add a touch of Asphaltum to one corner. Using an up and down pouncing motion, keep the Asphaltum to the outer edge; paint a round ball. Alternate colors: Wicker White with touch of Coastal Blue.
  2. Load the ¾" Scruffy with Wicker White and then add a touch of Engine Red to one corner. Using a pouncing motion, pounce the cheeks. Add more Engine Red to the brush and pounce the ear muffs.
  3. Mix Yellow Light with a tiny amount of Engine Red to make a orange color. Adjust the color by adding more of the Yellow Light or more of the Engine Red till you are happy with the orange color. Load the #2 Script Liner with this mixture and paint the carrot nose.
  4. Load the #2 Script Liner with Asphaltum, add details to the nose, paint the mouth eyes and eyebrows and then add a touch of Wicker White to highlight the eyes.
  5. Mix a little Yellow Light with Hauser Green Medium to make a lime green color, add a touch of Wicker White to soften the color. Load the #2 Script Liner with this color; paint the strap between the ear muffs.
Hat and Scarf: Add the hat or scarf after the facial details have been completed.
  1. Double load the #8 Flat with Engine Red and Wicker White, add a touch of Metallic Inca Gold to the Wicker White side using the flat side of the brush and keeping the Inca Gold/Wicker White side up; paint the hat.
  2. Load the ¾" Scruffy with Wicker White, add a touch of Asphaltum to the brush and using a pouncing motion, pounce the fur around the rim and then pounce a ball at the end of the hat.
  3. Load the #12 Flat with and mixture of Hauser Green Medium, Yellow Light and a touch of Wicker White, use the flat side of the brush to paint the scarf.
  4. Load the #2 Script Liner with Hauser Green Medium and add the stripes and fringe on the scarf.
