Instructions

Brown Frame

  1. Disassemble the frames, separating the frame and the glass.
  2. Basecoat the whole frame with Toffee.
  3. Once dry use a pouncer to apply layers of Pretty in Pink and Berry Red to the raised detailed areas of the frame.
  4. With a small detail brush paint Pretty in Pink to the inner ridge of the frame as an accent.
  5. Using the glass from inside the frame, trace the glasses shape onto your selected scrapbook paper. This will insure that the paper will fit within the frame.
  6. Using alcohol and a cotton ball clean the glass.
  7. Stick your selected stencil to the glasses surface. For this project I chose to place the stencil in the center of the frame glass.
  8. Press firmly on the stencil to make sure there are no gaps between the stencil and the glass surface.
  9. Using a pouncer apply Antique White paint to the glass through the stencil. Two to Three Coats may be needed depending on the opacity you’d like to achieve.
  10. Before the paint totally dries, carefully remove the stencil.
  11. Any bleed under of stay paint marks can be cleaned up with a razor blade.
  12. Once all parts of the frame and glass are dry reassemble the frame with the scrapbook paper under the glass.

Black Frame

  1. Tape off the inner part of the frame. This will allow you to paint the inner edge but leave the rest its original black.
  2. Paint the inner edge of the frame with Pretty in Pink.
  3. Using the glass from inside the frame, trace the glasses shape onto your selected scrapbook paper. This will insure that the paper will fit within the frame.
  4. Using alcohol and a cotton ball clean the glass.
  5. Stick your selected stencil to the glasses surface. For this project I chose to place the stencil in the bottom of the frame glass as well as along the edge. Before placing your stencils make sure to some how mark how far from the edge the stencils need to be in order to be seen when assembled back into the frame.
  6. Press firmly on the stencil to make sure there are no gaps between the stencil and the glass surface.
  7. Using a pouncer apply Berry Red and Toffee to the glass through the stencil. Two to three coats may be needed depending on the opacity you’d like to achieve.
  8. Before the paint totally dries, carefully remove the stencil.
  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 to complete the Toffee border flowers.
  10. Any bleed under of stay paint marks can be cleaned up with a razor blade.
  11. Once all parts of the frame and glass are dry reassemble the frame with your own photo under the glass.
