½” flat brush, Foam Spouncer, 5 – Toilet paper tubes (or 1 wrapping paper tube cut into 4 ½” lengths), 1 – Salt container, 1 – Child’s shoebox, 7/8” wide grosgrain ribbon – red and black, Black construction paper, Hot glue, Scissors, Pencil, 2 – 25mm wiggly eyes, Hole punch, 2 – 1 ¼” turquoise buttons, 4 – ½” turquoise buttons, Red foam sheet – 8 ½” x 3’
Instructions

Cut one tube on one end at a slight angle.

Paint tubes, salt container and shoe box Wicker White. When dry, paint random spots using Pure Black.

Trace end of tubes onto black construction paper and cut out 4 circles. Glue each circle to one end of 4 tubes. Cut strips from paper and glue around ends of tubes where circles are.

Glue tube legs to box as shown.

Glue red grosgrain ribbon around head. Glue eyes to head. Punch two dots out of paper and a smile. Glue to end of head.

Trace end of neck tube (angled piece of tubing) onto box lid as shown. Cut out with scissors. Glue angled end of tube to head, insert other end into hole of lid and glue.

Cut an 8”x 4” strip of black paper. Fold one side over 1 ¾”, fold other side over the same amount. Cut into strips along long edge up to fold line on both sides. Cut into 3 sections and glue flat middle to head and neck as shown. Cut two triangles and glue to head for ears.

Cut long strips from paper. Stack and glue one end. Attach to other end of box lid for tail.

Apply Red Extreme Glitter paint to red foam sheet with Spouncer. Let dry. Cut two lengths of black grosgrain ribbon and glue to sheet as shown. Glue all buttons on.

Glue foam sheet to lid of box and tie ribbon to keep lid closed. *This idea can be adapted to any horse color or animal with four legs if desired.
