Old music sheets, Acrylic shape - crown, Photo Mat, Scissors, Foam paintbrush, Pink paper, Gem, Gem Glue, Canvas fabric, Hot Glue, Black frame
Instructions
1. Measure the flat sides of the mat and cut strips of music sheets to fit the sides. Add a little extra to the measurement for folder over.
2. Apply a coat of Mod Podge to the mat. Position the papers onto the mat and press with your fingers to remove any air bubbles. Apply a top-coat of Mod Podge to the design.
3. Using a pencil, trace around the crown shape onto pink paper. Cut out the shape. Apply a layer of Mod Podge to the back of the crown shape and to the top of the paper crown. Press the paper (glue side to glue side) to the back of the crown shape. Smooth with your fingers to remove any air bubbles and allow to dry.
4. Using gem glue, attach a gem to the top of the crown. Glue a piece of canvas fabric to the frame backing. Hot glue the crown in the center of the mat and onto the canvas. Re-assemble the frame.
PROJECT TIP: This same technique can be done with your favorite fabric.
