8" x 8" Canvas, Blue transfer paper, Pencil, Tracing paper, 1/4 " Angled Brush, 1/2" Angled Brush, #6 Round Brush, 10/0 Liner Brush, 1/4" Flat Brush, 1/2" Flat Brush
Instructions

Trace "Pattern Number 1" and "Pattern Number 2" on to tracing paper.

Transfer "Pattern Number 1" to the 8" x 8" canvas using the Chaco transfer paper.

Using the 1/2" flat brush, paint the outer border of the pattern that you have transferred to your canvas with Titanium White. Float the outer edge of this border with Yellow Ochre and a small amount of Blending Gel using the 1/2" angled brush. Let dry.

Paint the alternating vertical stripes starting at the right with a 50/50 mix of Patina and Blending Gel. Let Dry. Float the right side of each of these vertical stripes with Patina using the 1/4" angled brush.

Paint the other three remaining vertical stripes with a 50/50 mix of Medium Blue and Blending Gel. Let dry. Paint the dots with Medium Blue using the #6 round brush. Paint the vertical lines in between each stripe Medium Blue (thinned with a little water) using the 10/0 liner. Let Dry.

Transfer "Pattern Number 2" over the area you have already painted. Basecoat the bird, flowers and leaves with Titanium White using the #6 round brush. Let dry. Basecoat the bird Citrus Green using the #6 round brush. Float the bottom edge of the bird's stomach and the bottom edge of the tail Grass Green using the 1/4" angled brush. Paint the bird's legs, beak and the tree branch Yellow Ochre using the 10/0 liner. Outline the bird's legs and the tree branch with a 50/50 mix of Cinnamon and Yellow thinned with water using the 10/0 liner brush. Paint the bird's eye Hauser Green using the 10/0 liner brush.

Base coat the leaves Citrus Green. Float the inner part of the leaves (closest to the flower center) with Grass Green. Outline both the bird and the leaves with Hauser Green using the 10/0 liner brush.

Float the inner edge of the flower petals (closest to the center) with Yellow Ochre using the 1/4" angled brush. Paint the centers of the flowers Yellow Ochre. Outline the petals with Yellow Ochre that has been thinned with water using the 10/0 liner brush.

Paint the swirly design around the edges of the border design Aqua thinned with a little water using the 10/0 liner brush.

Spray the entire piece with a light coat of Matte Finish Spray. Let dry.

Paint the leaves and the bird's wing with two coats of Extreme Glitter Peridot using the #6 round brush. Paint the center of the flowers with two coats of Gold Extreme Glitter using the #6 round brush.
