This quick and easy DIY napkin decoupage project is a great way to add a personal touch to your favorite notebook or journal.

Plain notebook
Patterned napkin
Scissors
Paper towels, Water basin

Instructions

Using scissors, cut off the tip of the napkin about 3” from the edge, so that you have a triangle shape (see project photo for reference). Do this on the opposite side of the napkin as well.
Remove the extra plies from the napkins and discard.
Using a brush, apply a thin coat of Mod Podge Matt to the entire cover of the notebook. It is important to cover the whole notebook so that the sheen will be consistent when the notebook dries.
Apply the napkin triangles to the top and bottom of the notebook so that the napkin lines up with the edges (see project photo for reference). Use a brush (wet with Mod Podge) to smooth down the napkin. Let dry.
