#10 flat brush, #16 flat brush, 2 ply natural jute by DC&C, 9” round paper mache box with lid by DC&C, White craft glue, Stencil brush, Foam brush, Round wood piece, Wood ball, Transfer paper, Pencil
Instructions
- With foam brush, paint box and lid Alizarin Crimson. Let dry.
- Trace and transfer pattern if needed. Apples
- Double load the #16 flat brush with Peridot and Inca Gold. Using the flat side of the brush and keeping the Inca Gold to the outer edge, paint the apples.
- Using the same brush and colors, add a touch of Solid Bronze to the Inca Gold side of the brush; blend well. Using the flat side of the brush, add shading to the apples. Pear
- Double load the #16 flat brush with Inca Gold and Solid Bronze. Using the flat side of the brush and keeping the Inca Gold to the outer edge, paint the pear.
- Using the same brush and colors, add a touch of Peridot to the Inca Gold side of the brush; blend well. Using the flat side of the brush, add details to the front of the pear. Plum
- Double load the #16 flat brush with Inca Gold and Peridot. Using the flat side of the brush and keeping the Inca Gold to the outer edge, paint the first section of the plum.
- Add a touch of Solid Bronze to the Peridot side of the brush; blend well. Using the flat side of the brush, add paint to the front section. Allow a portion of the back section to show. Leaves
- Double load the #10 flat brush with Peridot and Sequin Black. Using the chisel edge of the brush and leading with the Sequin Black, paint the fruit stems. Using the same brush and colors, and using the flat side of the brush, paint the leaves keeping the Sequin Black to the outer edge. Use the chisel edge of the brush to pull stems into leaves. Shading
- Slightly moisten the #10 flat brush with water. Add a touch of Sequin Black to one corner and blend well. Using the flat side of the brush and keeping the Sequin Black side of the brush next to your painted designs, shade around the fruit. Finishing
- Paint wood pieces Solid Bronze. Set aside.
- Apply tacky craft glue in center circle of lid to attach jute. Wrap jute around in a circle, ending when wood handle can be glued to center.
