Instructions

  1. Cut the photo out and lay onto wax paper.
  2. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, paint a thick coat of the MS Phototransfer medium onto the printed side of the photo and allow to dry for 24 hours. It’s important that you not be able to see the photo underneath the medium.
  3. Flip the dried photo over and place picture side down on the wax paper. Dampen the paper backing with a sponge and let sit for two minutes.
  4. Remove the paper backing by rubbing in a circular motion with a sponge. Take care not to rub through the photo.
  5. When the paper is removed, leave the photo piece to dry. Once dry, there may be areas that need more paper removed.
  6. Once the photo piece is ready, peel it from the wax paper and place the shiny side of the image down on the glass vase. Lay a piece of paper towel over the image and smooth down.
  7. Seal the photo piece with the MS decoupage gloss medium.
  8. Further embellish the vase with metallic ribbons and chipboard letters, applied with hot glue.
