I am a 32-year-old transplant from Seattle living in Atlanta, Georgia. I was born from creative genes, so I'm carrying on the tradition. I have been knitting for 17 years, sewing for longer and decoupaging for just a few. I do all of these things on a daily basis, or at least as much as I can. Follow my crafting adventures on the ModPodgeRocks blog.

  1. Make sure your corkboard is clean and free from debris.
  2. Decide on your design placement – I put keys in two corners, facing two directions.
  3. Carefully peel the stencil from the backer and place down on the cork; smooth.
  4. Use stencil or painter’s tape to tape off the border so that you don’t get Mod Podge in those areas.
  5. Use the Spouncers to apply Mod Podge to the stencil. Work quickly so that the Mod Podge doesn’t dry.
  6. Remove the stencil and sprinkle glitter on top of the Mod Podge.
  7. Dump the glitter off onto a piece of paper or a glitter tray (pour the remaining glitter back into the jar).
  8. Repeat the process with the remaining key designs – being careful not to disturb the designs you’ve already done.
  9. Let the Mod Podge dry completely.
  10. Use the paintbrush or a similar tool to remove the excess glitter from the surface – just brush it away.
  11. Let dry for 24 hours before using.
Tip: To prolong the life of your stencil, wash it immediately and return to the backer after use.
