Q: How do you weave paper?
A:
You should have 3 sheets of paper. Two will be cut into strips for weaving and the third will be used as the backing.
Cut the first sheet of paper into six pieces of 3/4" x 7" strips. (7" is used as an example here. Cut paper to the length of surface you wish to cover.)
Cut the second sheet of paper into nine pieces of 3/4" x 5" strips. (5" is used as an example here. Cut paper to the width of surface you wish to cover.)
Stack the long strips next to the long side of your whole sheet of paper and stack the shorter strips next to the short side of your whole paper.
Adhere the ends of one strip of each length at the top left corner of the paper, forming a right angle. Lay all of the vertical strips across the paper.
Add all of the horizontal strips, alternating papers by weaving each strip in and out through the vertical strips.
