Instructions

  1. Measure around the top of the boot.  Add 1” to this measurement.  Make a paper template that measures 7” tall and as wide as the measurement determined in part one of step 1.
  2. Fold each side and the bottom (hem) over ½” towards the backside and glue with Fabric Mod Podge. Use clothespins to secure while drying.
  3. Working on the backside, glue a strip of lace to the bottom of the faux boot cuff. Allow to dry.
  4. Place the fabric so the top is 1 ½” inches above the top of the boot. Glue the folded side edges to the sides of the zippers.  Fold over the top and glue to the inside of the boot.
  5. Heat a gold Mod Melt stick in a Mod Melter (or high temp glue gun).  Squeeze into a mod mold.  (We used two square ornaments per boot) Allow to cool for 7 min and pop out. Using heavy-duty glue, attach to the corners of the faux boot cuff.

PROJECT TIP: Paint it! Fabric not your thing? Paint a faux boot cuff with fabric paints and block printing stamps.
