Take a set of small papier mache' boxes in graduating sizes and glue the tops on--first punching a hole in the bottom of the smallest one. Make a loop of ribbon or cord or metallic thread, knotting the ends together. Thread loop through hole in box and glue knot in place. After the glue dries, glue the top to the bottom of the box. Paint the boxes with white paint and then a coat of Metallic Pearl. Turn Boxes upside down and gle them together so they look like a wedding cake. Decorate with small pearls, mini flowers or even seashells (if the couple had a beach wedding). If you want a base, cut a cardboard circle a little larger that the bottom of the largest box and paint then glue boxes to base and add lace or bead trim. Thhis is great 'First Christmas Together' ornament especially if you make it look like their actual wedding cake, and you can put the couples name and wedding date around one 'layer' with a gold paint pen (or use gold metallic paint if yu're good with a brus.)
