Cupcake Paper Pumpkins
By: Susan Dodge
Products Used:
FolkArt Paint

Thank you for the opportunity to enter the "Trickin' My Pumpkin" crafty challenge. I made these pumpkins using regular and mini cupcake papers. Each pumpkin used approx. 24 cupcake papers. I took each paper and scrunched it in the middle and secured it with a staple. Then I hot glued 6 of the scrunched ones in to one that was still in the cup shape. I then hot glued 3 of those together, shaped it into a pumpkin and filled in the empty spots with more of the single scrunches. To color it I mixed FolkArt craft paint with hairspray in a misting bottle and sprayed the pumpkins with 3 coats of the paint-hairspray mixture, letting it dry in between coats. I hot glued a twig from the backyard in the center top and added raffia. I really like the way they turned out!
