How to Heat Set Painted Fabric Projects

  1. Let decorated fabric dry for 72 hours and then heat set.
  2. To heat set, position project paint side up on ironing board.  Place a dry pressing cloth over the artwork.
  3. Set the iron at the highest temperature for the chosen fabric. 
  4. Press in one place for 30 seconds using dry, hot heat.
  5. Lift the iron and then reposition to heat set.
  6. Continue heat setting until all painted areas have been set with heat.
