Tie-Dye Deco Block

I’m the proud mother of three wonderful children and a silly and cute grandson named Sammy. I’ve been a designer and crafter with Plaid for 15 years. My love of crafting took off when I was 14 and won a “Best in Show” ribbon at the Orange County Fair for one of my oil paintings. Since that time, I’ve been crafting up a storm! I love Mod Podge and everything it can do - there is hardly a project out there that doesn’t deserve a little Mod Podge. PLAID Supplies
  • Gallery Glass ® Window Color™ - Sunny Yellow, 2 oz.
  • Gallery Glass ® Window Color™ - Kelly Green, 2 oz.
  • Gallery Glass ® Window Color™ - Amethyst, 2 oz.
  • Gallery Glass ® Window Color™ - Ruby Red, 2 oz.
  • Gallery Glass ® Surfaces - Leading Blanks
  • Gallery Glass ® Window Color™ - Pumpkin Orange, 2 oz.
  • Gallery Glass ® Window Color™ - Aqua, 2 oz.
Other Supplies
Large glass block
Drinking straw
Craft knife or scissors

Instructions


  1. Squeeze a quarter size dollop of Ruby Red Window Color in the center of the Leading Blank.
  2. Squeeze a circle of Pumpkin Orange out around the red, followed by Sunny Yellow, Kelly Green, Aqua, and Amethyst.
  3. Starting in the center, and working out, gently blow through the straw to get your desired tie-dye effect. Let dry overnight.
  4. Carefully peel dry Window Color up from the Leading Blank and cut to fit the Glass Block. Use your fingers to smooth the Window color into place.
