Donna Dewberry is a self taught artist who grew up with a mother that encouraged her crafting. In fact Donna and her Mother used to sell various good on the side of the road. The One Stroke Painting method was developed when Donna had to fill an order for several thousand pieces of painted tin ware.

To date there are more than 6000 Certified One Stroke Instructors world wide and in more than 15 countries. Several of which have started businesses of their own revolving around One Stroke painting. Donna has made more than 100 books and videos and has her own show on PBS and soon to be WHDO as well as appearing regularly on Home Shopping Network.

Instructions

  1. Basecoat birdhouse Metallic Antique Gold. Let dry.

  2. Vines: Load the 3/8” angular brush with Burnt Umber and Wicker White. On chisel edge, leading with Wicker White, paint vines.

  3. Double load the 3/8” angular brush with Berry Wine and Wicker White with Wicker White  to outer edge, paint rosebuds.

  4. Double load the 3/8” angular brush with Thicket and Soft Apple and a touch of Wicker White on the Wicker White side. Paint One Stroke Leaves.

  5. Use end of paint brush handle to create clusters of Soft Apple.

  6. To paint Butterflies: Load the 3/8” angular brush with Wicker White, paint wings.

  7. Load the # 2 script liner with inky Thicket. Paint body and antennae.
