Quart jar |

Sponge brush |

Fine tip paint brush - #00 liner |

Glue gun and glue sticks |

Fine tip black permanent marker |
 |
Powder blush for cheeks |

Natural excelsior |

Spanish moss |

4" straw hat |

3" bird |
 |
3 small silk maple leaves |

8" square of burgundy plaid fabric |

Seed package to add to hat |

PREPARE & BASE PAINT:
- Be sure jar is clean and dry.
- Apply a coat of Glass & Tile Medium to jar. Let dry 48 hours.
- Using sponge brush, paint jar, rim, and lid with Skintone. Let dry. Apply a second coat, if needed. Let dry.
- Transfer face pattern to jar.
PAINT THE DESIGN:
- Paint eyes with Licorice.
- Paint nose with Acorn Brown.
- Paint heart with Black Cherry.
- Add highlights to face with Wicker White.
COMPLETE:
- Use permanent marker to add eyelashes, freckles, and eyebrows.
- Blush cheeks with powder.
- Glue natural excelsior into hat for hair. Glue hat to jar lid.
- Glue small bunch of Spanish moss to side of hat for nest. Glue bird to nest. Glue leaves around bird.
- Cut off 1" from bottom of seed package. Pinch bottom together and glue, then glue to hat.
- Fold fabric into triangle and tie around jar for bandanna.
