Rectangular wood ornament
White transfer paper
5/0 Liner brush

Prep:

1. Sand; seal; sand again. Base coat with Pure Black (two coats if necessary).

2. Transfer line drawing with white transfer paper.

Trees:

1. Load small flat with Blending Gel; blot. Load same brush with Hauser Green Dark;
paint trees (hint: Trees are pointy and narrow at the top and gradually widen toward the
base). Clean brush; squeeze dry.

2. Add middle value of snow to trees with Dove Gray on a small flat brush. (Careful. Do not cover the entire tree with mid value snow). Clean brush; squeeze dry.

3. Add highlight snow on the trees, with Warm White. Shade snow with Skyline, on the left side of trees.

Snow:

1. Paint snow shadows first, with a brush–mix of skyline + Dove Gray + a tiny bit of Pure Black. Use short, overlapping horizontal strokes.

2. As you paint away from the shadows, pick up a little Warm White and continue.

3. Pick up even more Warm White on the same brush as you finish the snow.

Snowflake Stars on Top of Trees:

1. Dip stylus tip into Warm White; tap on snowflake start on top of trees.

Peace Letters:

1. Use 5/0 liner and Skyline to paint PEACE. Add thick Warm White to top edges of letters to indicate snow.

Trim and Snowflakes:

1. Use fingertip to edge ornament with Warm White.

2. Thin Warm White with water to a thick creamy consistency. Use a stiff bristle brush to
flip snowflakes onto ornament (always test first to make sure the consistency is correct).

To Finish:

1. Dry thoroughly.

2. Paint entire ornament with one or two coats of Hologram Glitter.

3. Display on a small easel or drill holes for wire or ribbon hanger.
