4th of July Cookie Cutter Napkin Rings and Napkin Holders

Scrap of red white and blue fabric
Wax paper
Star cookie cutter
Scissors Plain baby bib
Red; white and blue printed fabric scrap
Fusible webbing
Iron


Napkin Holders
1. Tear the fabric into a strip that slightly smaller than the width of the cookie cutter. Place the strip onto a piece of wax paper and coat both sides with gloss Mod Podge.

2. Place the strip onto the edge of the cookie cutter, keep following along the outer edge of the cookie cutter. Press out any air bubbles with your fingers as needed. Trim the ends so that they over lap. Allow to dry.

Embroidered Napkins
1. For this set of 4 napkins I stamped 2 of the napkins with the Costal Blue and 2 with the Brilliant Blue.
2. Begin with wash and pressed napkins. Place a piece of wax paper under the napkin corner where you want to paint. Apply paint to the foam stamp with a paintbrush. Press the stamp into the corner of the napkin, press firmly and gently lift. Allow the paint to dry and heat set with an iron.

3. Sew a running stitch around the inside of the star shape to add interest to the painted design. Use the lighter floss on the darker blue and the darker floss on the lighter blue.
