- Use the flat brush to paint the canvas in Van Dyke Brown. Add loose brushstrokes in Asphaltum and Acorn Brown. Let dry.
- Tear strips of masking tape vertically to create a deckled edge; mask off stripes on the canvas. Paint the stripes using the flat brush and a small amount of Burnt Sienna.
- Using a decorative paper of your choice, cut out a vase shape. Then cut out an image of your choice (rooster was used in the example) to fit the vase shape as shown. Tear various images into circles and punch a hole in each circle.
- Use the foam brush, squeegee and Mod Podge Hard Coat to apply the images to the canvas as shown. Let dry for one hour.
- Use the flat brush to paint the flower stems in Bayberry. Let dry.
- Use the flat brush to apply Mod Podge Brushstroke Medium to the canvas. Let dry for 24 hours.
