- Remove handles and hardware from purse; set aside.
- Basecoat purse top Silver Sterling and handles Red Violet. Let dry.
- Cut even strips of solid color papers; layout along top of purse in alternating colors leaving approximately ¼” space between each strip; trim strips to meet edges; apply Sparkle Mod Podge to back of each strip then position back in place; repeat to apply all strips.
- Cut even strips of patterned paper; layout across front of purse base leaving approximately ½” space between each strip; trim to size; apply Sparkle Mod Podge to back of each strip then position back in place; repeat around whole purse. Let dry.
- Apply generous top coat of Sparkle Mod Podge over painted handles and decoupaged purse; while wet, apply gem embellishments where desired; let dry completely.
- Reattach handles and hardware.
