Wood basket: 7 -1/2" x 5" x 2-7/8" high plus cutouts and handle (cut your own using pattern) |

Preparation- Base front and back with a 50/50 mix of Italian Sage and Warm White. Base sides and handles with Hauser Green Dark. Let dry.
- Size design on photocopier if necessary. Transfer design lightly.
Paint the Design Ribbon- Base with Hauser Green Dark.
- Shade with Wrought Iron.
- Highlight with brush-mixed Hauser Green Dark and a touch of Warm White (use Shimmer Technique).
- Reinforce shading where ribbon goes behind the poinsettia and in side loops with Wrought Iron and a touch of Raspberry Wine.
- Paint stripes on edges of ribbon with Pure Gold.
Poinsettia- Base with Dove Grey.
- Highlight center of each petal with Warm White.
- Shade base of each petal and down center vein with Charcoal Grey. Reinforce shading at base of petals with Charcoal Grey and a touch of Raspberry Wine (keep it transparent).
- Highlight edges of petals with Wicker White.
- Line petals with Charcoal Grey.
- Base green petals (leaves - marked with "L" on pattern) with Bayberry.
- Shade these with Thicket.
- Highlight these with Lemonade.
- Reinforce Thicket shading with Wrought Iron.
- Add veins to these petals (leaves) with Wrought Iron.
- Paint dots for poinsettia centers with Thicket. Highlight with dots of Pure Gold.
Bells- Base with Buttercrunch.
- Shade with English Mustard on left side and below and above the ridge.
- Highlight with Lemonade on right side and center of ridge.
- Reinforce previous shading with English Mustard and a touch of Raspberry Wine.
- Stroke ties to bells with Raspberry Wine.
Finishing Touches- Shade behind design with Raspberry Wine (keep it transparent).
- Spatter with Raspberry Wine.
Finish When dry, apply two or more coats of water base varnish, using a 1" wash brush.
