Altered Art Easter Basket

Medium Size Easter Basket |
|
1 yard ¾” wide purple satin ribbon |
|
Small piece of old quilt top plus enough to wrap around the handle |
|
Ecru embroidery floss and needle |
|
Small scissors or craft knife |
|
White poster board |
|
Paper grass and styrofoam eggs |
|
Small gold butterfly or dragon fly charm for rim of basket |
- Paint bottom of basket Almond Parfait, let dry.
- Cut out purple borders, pink open flowers, saying, and bird at the nest.
- Decoupage butterfly, bird in nest and purple flower to poster board and cut out.
- Using floss and an overcast stitch, stitch paper saying to a quilt square as shown.
- Wrap handle of basket with strip of quilt top and tie a bow of purple ribbon at each side.
- Assemble images starting with pink flowers and purple boarders onto basket bottom.
- Use pop dots to add the rest of the images to the basket as shown.
