PLAID Supplies
  • FolkArt ® Metallics - Rose, 2 oz.
  • FolkArt ® Metallics - Peridot, 2 oz.
  • FolkArt ® Finishes - Clearcote™ Aerosol Glaze - Hi-Shine Deep Gloss, 6 oz.
  • Mod Podge ® Matte, 8 oz.

Other Supplies
12 inch serving tray
5 pieces of coordinating scrapbook papers
Decorative scissors or decorative edge paper punch
Distress ink
Tracing Templates
Word stamps
Black permanent ink pad
Sandpaper
Scissors
Paintbrush

Instructions

  1. Paint edges of tray with Metallic Rose. Allow to dry.

  2. Paint inside and outsides of tray with Metallic Peridot. Allow to dry.

  3. Cut background paper to fit inside of tray. Adhere with Mod Podge.

  4. Use templates to cut out design, bird and wing. Distress edges with distress ink. Refer to photo for placement and adhere to inside of tray with Mod Podge.

  5. Stamp words and adhere with Mod Podge.

  6. Trim edge of remaining paper with decorative scissors or paper punch and adhere around outside edge of tray with Mod Podge.

  7. Spray tray with several coats of Hi-Shine Glaze, follow instructions on can.
