6 Rad Recycled Kids Craft Ideas

6 Rad Recycled Kids Craft Ideas

Earth Day is just a week away on April 22nd! Rescue some rubbish from your recycling bin, and give new life to things like egg cartons, tin cans, cardboard boxes and toilet paper rolls with these six rad kids craft ideas. Not only will little ones learn about respecting the planet, they'll have a blast spending time crafting with you!

The humble egg carton will soon be flying high once cut, painted and propeller-ed! We'd suggest using Apple Barrel to make these mini helicopters from The Craft Train.

Super simple for even the smallest of hands? These paper roll bracelets via Learn Create Love! Have an adult slice a toilet paper roll or paper towel roll, and your tot can adorn them with Apple Barrel in their favorite colors.

They'll love hearing this chime all summer long! Paint tin cans in bright colors or with an ombre effect, and be sure to let mom or dad make the holes to string this Tin Can Wind Chime together from Cheap Crafting.

This sweet seedling starts its life in a paper cup adorned with Mod Podged tissue paper via Creative Connections for Kids. They'll have fun seeing their little bud grow, or make a few for gifts!

For older kids, here's another Recycled Bracelet idea on Plaid Online! use the cardboard from a cracker box and Mod Podge on paper for a pretty design.

And last but not least, this recycled Egg Carton Earth Day Tree via Glued To My Crafts Blog is the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day!
