Valuable Information on the Orphan Works Act

Please take action as legislation is being considered that could negatively impact visual artists of all disciplines as well as writers, musicians and filmmakers.

The proposed Orphan Works legislation will drastically change American copyright law if passed as currently written.
The Orphan Acts bills would allow anyone to use a design for any purpose -without the copyright holder's permission- after performing a "reasonable search." In addition it puts much of the burden of protecting and enforcing the use of an artist's work on the artist. Please read more at owoh.org.
