Instructor; a decorative painter who has successfully completed the FolkArt One Stroke Certification Program conducted by creator Donna Dewberry. An OSCI is certified to teach, demonstrate and start a painting business using the One Stroke method. To date there are more than 2,200 OSCIs in 17 countries around the world!
You can make a career of bringing the joy of painting to
others through the One Stroke Certification program. Several
times a year across the country, creator Donna Dewberry offers
a 3 ½ day workshop designed to train teachers in this decorative
painting technique.
Through this course, Donna and her husband Marc teach painters
how to instruct and how to promote and start a business using
their successful techniques. These include training in showing
basic strokes, how to present oneself, how to relate to the
public, how to approach retailers for demonstrations, how
to set up and prepare samples for demonstration, how to generate
excitement in your audience or students, how to establish
your teaching fee and much more!
And don't forget painting! This seminar is designed to give
you more "hands on" than verbal instruction. "You will literally
paint till you drop," says Donna. Themes include a wide variety
of florals, nature themes, borders and more.
Once you're certified you will be listed with other certified
teachers throughout the country and as requests are made your
name will be furnished to interested parties. You will also
be listed with Plaid, and you will be called upon for teaching
or demonstrating engagements as they arise in your area.
One Stroke Certification gives you a foundation. You can
run with it as far as you're willing to take it. Perhaps you
